Reports indicate a section of Trans Nzoia County MCA’s from Ford Kenya and ANC parties have joined Deputy President William Ruto.
The MCAs whose identity is not yet confirmed, are said to have visited the deputy presidents’ home in Sugoi Uasin Gishu on Friday in what is described as strategizing on how best to ‘sell’ Ruto in Trans Nzoia.
Taking to Twitter, Ruto confirmed the information saying that he indeed hosted a section of Trans Nzoia MCAs in his home. According to him, their discussion revolved around devolution.
“Met Trans-Nzoia County MCAs from Jubilee, Ford Kenya, and ANC in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County; urged them to be true to the spirit of devolution.” Wrote Ruto.
Ruto’s move is aimed at destabilizing the huge following of Ford Kenya in Trans Nzoia county while ANC might lose the small support it has within the county
