Plans for Afc leopards to own a sporting complex are now alive after Amani National Congress boss Hon Musalia Mudavadi stepped in.
Early today, Afc leopards nec led by Dr Shikanda, Sg Sikuku and club treasurer Mr Maurice Chichi received 633000Ksh being fee to the ministry of lands to enable the processing of a title deed of a piece of land donated by The late President Moi to Afc leopards.
Speaking while receiving the cheque, Dr Shikanda said that it has by a tedious job trying to locate and claim the kind donation by the retired president.
“When we came into office we promised our members that we shall leave No stone unturned untill we reclaim the kind donnation. We are happy to have Hon Mudavadi walking with us ans we say asante sana. Afc is the heart of the Luhya Nation and it pleases my heart to see my elder brothet and Luhya spokesman extend such favors to Afc” Shikanda said.
On his part, Mudavadi thanked Shikanda and his team for steering Afc well despite the economic turmoil.
“I know what it means running Afc leopards. Hon Sambu(Abiola) having served this great club before knows it too. You know we called him Abiola because he was the longest serving but very successfull. I want to believe we shall walk together and build a sport complex in Kasarani. I will personally spearhead that after end of Covid 19. I also promise to help Afc leopards team navigate these covid 19 hard times by paying part salaries untill nomalcy return” Mudavadi said.
