Kakamega county politician and aspirant for Kakamega Woman rep 2022 has today made her Madaraka day engagement fruitful by sharing with women on matters poultry farming.
“Providing women with chickens husbandry and health training empowers them to profit from the activity, investing not only in food diversity, but also in greater access to health, hygiene and access to education for our children – vital to breaking vicious circles of poverty and under-development in our region” Hon Hadija said.
“Today In partnership with His excellency the Deputy President Dr. William Ruto ( number one chicken farmer) launched a massive poultry farming project in kakamega county, where we intend to reach out to 200 sub-locations providing grassroots women and youth with chicks to engage in poultry farming. This venture will help keep our youth off drugs besides improving lives.”Hadija added.
In her initiative dubbed “Growing together, leaving no one behind!:”
Many women in Matungu, Mumias and Shinyalu have started reaping benefits of this very noble venture.
On the high octane political temperatures in the Western region, Hon Hadija believes the region stands to benefit immensely by crafting partnerships with willing Kenyans but warned the wannabe suitors that the region has its sons and daughters who will provide direction devoid of external pressure.
“Politics of deceit, blackmail has no place in Western Kenya. We know what is good for our people and we will settle for the best”She added
