Drama in the Ford Kenya party is far from over. Hours after Emmanuel Waswa Simiyu was ousted as Trans Nzoia County minority leader by a pro-Moses Wetangula group, Eseli Simiyu has reinstated him.
In a letter addressed to the speaker of Trans Nzoia County assembly by embattled Ford Kenya secretary-general, Eseli Simiyu, there is no resolution by the party to change the county assembly minority leadership.
“There is a leadership dispute in the party Ford Kenya which has been escalated to the high court in Nairobi, by this letter, I wish to advise that there has been no resolution to change the County Assembly minority leadership and assembly, service board.” Reads part of the letter seen by obulala.co.ke.
Simiyu advises the speakers to not affect the change that was pushed by the Wetangula group to avoid entangling the assembly into internal party disputes.
