Former US President Barack Obama has backed Democratic Presidential aspirant Joe Biden choice for Kamala Harris as his running met ahead of November elections calling her a good choice for American people.
Harris becomes the first black woman to be selected as a running mate for a major political party in US history and the third woman selected as a running mate.
“…She is more than prepared for the job. She’s spent her career defending our Constitution and fighting for folks who need a fair shake. This is a good day for our country. Now let’s go win this thing.” Tweeted Obama.
The US senator who is a child of multi-colored immigrants has vast experience in American politics having served as California attorney general and district attorney of San Francisco. She rose to national recognition during the interrogation of President Donald Trump’s nominees of various positions during US Senate hearings. The nominees included Supreme Court justice brett Kavanaugh and former US Attorney general manager Jeff Sessions.
