Soaring above the storms of passion a memoir by former vice president Hon Musalia Mudavadi has finally been launched. In an invite only event at the Serena Hotel, the event was graced by who is who in the local politica circles.
Raila and odm allied mps gave the launch a wide berth
The book looks back down memory lane thirty years of Mudavadi’s political journey right from the day he stepped into his late father Snr Moses Mudamba Mudavadi shoes as the Sabatia Mp to present.
Prior to the book launch, local dailies had serialized the book and it had created a public discourse. The contents in the book rubbed both friends and foes the wrong way. In the book, Mudavadi shades more light on behind the scenes intrigues that culminated into Nasa boycotting repeat elections and the swearing in of Raila at Uhuru park that Mudavadi gave a wide berth. This did not go down well with Raila and Odm sg Edwin Sifuna both accusing Mudavadi of suffering from memory lapse. If this public spat is what led to the orange batallion giving the event a wide berth is everybody’s guess.
However sources within Amani house who sought anonymity for he is not authorised to speak to press confided in us that invitations were sent to them.

“The excepts in the newspapers have not done justice the Soaring above the storms of passion, they have only given a journalistic perspective.”
The book is authored by Anc’s sg Barack Muluka a renowned literature don.
While speaking at the event, Hon Mudavadi predicted a political hurricane that will compliment the storms in his new release. Pundits look at the launch as a dress rehearsal for his stab at presidency in 2022.
Is the presence of Cs Amina Mohammed as chief guest and or Kipchumba Murkomen’s presence an indicator of Mudavadi’s future alliance? What about the presence of Dr Murungaru and Hon Karua?
The book is currently on sale in all leading bookshops in town.
